—  About Me  —

I believe your Mind is powerful

If you wake up in the morning and you tell yourself, “today is going to be the worst day”, it will, despite anything that proves otherwise. That is because our minds are very powerful.

My goal is to help you recognize that you may be having this line of thinking and to build tools to counter those negative thoughts with more compassionate thoughts. I do not believe life is all about “rainbows and roses”. I believe happiness is beautiful fleeting moments that we must grab hold of and enjoy. However, I believe in actually feeling your emotions, good bad and ugly. I will work with you on building tools to lean into your emotions and to be present in the moment. I believe therapy should never hinder you in any way. In my strength based approach to therapy, we will establish goals for you to work on in treatment together. You are the expert in your life, I am simply there to help guide you.

I offer an eclectic approach to treatment with a foundation built on evidence based treatment. I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.

I graduated with my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University Of Michigan in 2015. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in which I treated adult patients suffering from addiction as well as adolescents who faced severe mood disorders, addiction, trauma and depression. I have worked in the private practice setting since 2017 and truly enjoy having the opportunity to establish a long term, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am also a mother and have experienced the beautiful and difficult transition into motherhood. I believe it is an honor and a privilege to be in a position where I can help others explore their lives and create healthy changes.
